Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Advanced Foiling Specialist to join our team at the Window Systems Division in Telford.

The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating the foiling process, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production. Key aspects of this role include working flexibly to meet production requirements, rectifying faults, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

Mandatory Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to organisational policies, management systems, and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities regarding Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel to foster a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
  • Represent the organisation in a professional manner to avoid damage to corporate image or reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and record process parameters as required.
  • Conduct relevant checks on assigned products according to the product quality plan.
  • Record scrap information and segregate non-conforming products from good production.
  • Communicate effectively via designated channels.
  • Produce high-quality products and set targets for improvement.
  • Execute technical activities in line with production schedules and timescales.
  • Alert relevant individuals to process and product concerns.
  • Achieve training and development goals as determined by the Shift Co-ordinator and training plan.
  • Exhibit a positive attitude towards work and collaborate with cross-functional teams to promote a strong team culture.
  • Engage actively with Statistical Process Control (SPC) to enhance efficiency and continual improvement.
  • Safeguard company property issued.
  • Control the shutdown of the foiling line, including emergency shutdown.
  • Set process variances specific to each foiling line.
  • Install, remove, and store foiling line tooling.
  • Ensure a clean and tidy workplace, adhering to associated housekeeping procedures.
  • Participate positively in Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to improve and maintain production, safety, and quality systems.
  • Perform low-level preventative maintenance tasks as required.
  • Start the foiling line.
  • Fault rectification and problem-solving.
  • Share knowledge and skills among the team as a Mentor.
  • Acknowledge and undertake reasonable duties as needed.
  • Comply with Shutdown, Setting, and Start-Up procedures.
  • Follow Fault Rectification Procedure.
