Job Title: Apprentice Refrigeration Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Refrigeration Engineer to join our team at Calibre Search Ltd. As an Apprentice Refrigeration Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing industrial water chillers in various commercial and industrial buildings across the region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Travel to various locations to service, maintain, and repair industrial water chillers
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Diagnose and repair faults using advanced diagnostic techniques
  • Work with a range of industrial water chillers, including those with turbocor and centrifugal compressors
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
Requirements:
  • Time-served apprenticeship in refrigeration engineering or a related field
  • NVQ/C&G air conditioning and refrigeration based qualification
  • Approved training program in refrigerant handling and safety
  • Full driving license and ability to travel extensively
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
What We Offer:
  • Competitive salary up to £47,000 for the right candidate
  • Door-to-door travel and fuel card for private use
  • 45 hours per week, with overtime paid at 1.5x hourly rate
  • 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
  • On-call 1 in 10
