English Academic Mentor Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and enthusiastic English Graduate to join our team as an Academic Mentor. This rewarding role will see you support students in building confidence within the subject area and help Year 11 students feel confident going into their GCSEs.

About the Role
  • Supporting Years 7-11 within English lessons
  • Leading 1:1 tutoring sessions
  • Delivering small group intervention sessions
  • Helping students feel confident in their GCSE exams

As the new English Academic Mentor, you will be given your own classroom to tutor small groups of students across Years 7-11. These intervention groups will be decided by the Head of Department for English and will consist of students who have been identified as needing additional support.

Requirements
  • First Class English Graduate with a 2:1 or higher degree from a Top 20 UK University
  • Assured, ambitious, and enthusiastic Graduate with a passion for English education

We are looking for a Graduate who is considering a career as an English Teacher but wants to gain a solid amount of school experience before applying for Initial Teacher Training.
