About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager to lead our team on a high-profile project in Manchester City Centre. This £30 million MEP package involves the fit-out of a large commercial and office space, requiring strong leadership and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Site Management & Supervision: Oversee all mechanical works on-site, ensuring compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and health & safety requirements. Coordinate subcontractors, supervise site teams, and provide daily guidance.
  • Project Planning & Coordination: Develop and implement the mechanical works programme, aligning it with the overall project schedule. Integrate MEP works with building systems and construction process.
  • Quality Control & Compliance: Ensure mechanical installations meet required specifications and quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections, maintain records of inspections, testing, and commissioning activities.
  • Health, Safety & Environmental: Maintain the highest standards of health and safety on-site, conducting regular safety audits and risk assessments for mechanical works.
  • Team Leadership & Communication: Lead and motivate a team of mechanical engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors. Foster a collaborative working environment and ensure clear communication between stakeholders.

Requirements:

Industry qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering. At least 5 years experience in mechanical site management, ideally within the commercial sector. Strong experience with HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical installation systems. Demonstrable experience in managing teams and liaising with clients and stakeholders.
