Job Title: Vehicle Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Vehicle Mechanic to join our team at New Resource Group.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing our fleet of vans, combining workshop-based tasks with on-site repairs to ensure operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and conduct routine maintenance on commercial vans, cars, and other company equipment.
  • Carry out vehicle inspections and MOT checks.
  • Ensure all routine maintenance or repair work is documented accurately and promptly.
  • Report any defective tools or workshop equipment.
  • Observe safe working practices at all times.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in motor repairs and diagnosis.
  • A minimum of Level 2 qualification in motor vehicle technology (e.g. City & Guilds or equivalent).
  • Attendance of a mechanical engineering course.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of health and safety practices, including a good understanding of tyres.
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Clean driving licence (highly desirable).
Desirable Skills
  • Exposure to commercial vehicles and a willingness to switch focus as needed.
