Estimator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Estimator to join our team at Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD. As an Estimator, you will be responsible for producing accurate estimates for construction projects. Your role will involve working closely with clients to understand their needs and developing detailed estimates that meet their requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing estimates from Bills of Quantities and drawings and specifications.
  • Building strong relationships with clients to understand their needs and preferences.
  • Developing tender risk information to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Preparing and presenting estimates to clients.
  • Collaborating with other teams to ensure estimates are accurate and meet client expectations.
  • Providing cost advice to clients at the early stages of projects.
  • Developing project cost plans to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Visiting tender sites to gather information and develop estimates.
  • Developing subcontract trade package enquiries to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Pricing tender labour, plant, and material rates to ensure accurate estimates.
  • Analysing supply chain enquiries to ensure accurate estimates.

Requirements:

  • Full driving license.
  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to work independently as part of a team.
  • Capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work to deadlines and deliver high-quality estimates.
  • Competence in computerized estimating and take-off software and general IT skills.
