Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Excel Child Care Services. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing high-quality childcare and education to our young learners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Childcare and Education
    • Maintain exceptional standards of quality in the nursery environment, encompassing resources and children's learning experiences.
    • Provide professional and informative feedback to parents/carers regarding their child's development.
    • Ensure meticulous and accurate documentation of children's progress and learning by designated staff members.
    • Facilitate regular planning meetings to enhance educational programs.
    • Offer leadership and support to playroom staff to foster positive working dynamics.
    • Ensure compliance with Early Years Foundation Stage standards.
    • Implement efficient nursery keycarer procedures and assign children to keycarers.
    • Ensure the safety of children and adherence to Safeguarding Procedures by staff when necessary.
    • Support the advancement of best practices for special needs and inclusive education.
    • Implement and assist others in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum in line with current guidelines.
    • Foster professional partnerships with relevant Local Authority Departments, regulatory bodies, and external agencies.
    • Cultivate a culture of self-assessment and reflective practice throughout the nursery.
    • Jointly responsible for upholding health, safety, and cleanliness standards throughout the nursery.
    • Adhere strictly to all health and safety policies and protocols.
    • Assist the Nursery Manager and other staff during regulatory inspections and participate in the implementation of any recommendations.
    • Actively promote the nursery to current parents and prospective clientele.

    • Representing the Company

    • Education
      • Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)
      • LEVEL 3 Childcare: 1 year (required)
      • Nursery: 1 year (preferred)
    • Experience
      • Nursery experience: 1 year (required)
      • DBS (preferred)
      • LEVEL 3 CHILD CARE QUALIFICATION (required)
