Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Heathrow. The successful candidate will be responsible for routine maintenance, breakdown response, and operational checks of conveyors, baggage handling machinery, storage cranes, and carrier systems.


Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £50,000 per annum, with additional benefits including free on-site parking, private medical insurance, and a pension scheme.


Responsibilities

The successful Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for:

  • Preventative repair and maintenance of equipment
  • Responding to breakdowns and conducting root cause analysis
  • Operational and functionality checks
  • Log all work conducted and parts used
  • Lubrication and monitoring

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A time served apprenticeship or equivalent
  • City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or above in a mechanical or electrical maintenance discipline
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an airside pass
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Computer literacy

Desirable Qualifications

Prior experience in FMCG, manufacturing, or automated warehousing is desirable but not essential. Additionally, knowledge of PLCs and diagnostic techniques is also beneficial.


Work Environment

The successful candidate must be willing to work shifts, including nights, to meet the needs of the business.
