As a skilled Estimator, you will play a key part in the pre-construction process, ensuring the accurate preparation of cost estimates and tenders for high-value projects. Working closely with the Commercial and Project teams, you will be responsible for developing competitive bids, conducting detailed take-offs, and liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure the financial viability of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates and tenders for projects.
- Analyse and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents to produce accurate estimates.
- Work closely with the Commercial Director, project managers, and other stakeholders to develop competitive pricing strategies.
- Source and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring best value for money.
- Conduct detailed take-offs and bill of quantities to ensure all aspects of the project are accounted for.
- Identify potential risks and cost-saving opportunities within the tender process.
