Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Import/Export Shipping Clerk to join our team at LogisticsRecruit UK. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for coordinating the shipping of customer orders to all countries within the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective and Timely Shipment of Goods: Ensure the efficient and timely shipment of goods to customers across the EMEA region.
  • Liaison with External Parties: Liaise with Chamber of Commerce, country Embassy, and other 3rd party bodies to facilitate smooth shipping operations.
  • Freight Coordination: Coordinate with freight forwarders, 3rd party warehouse, and vendors to ensure timely collections and deliveries.
  • Documentation and Clearance: Identify and provide all documentation required to export to destination, and issue clearance instructions and associated documents.
  • Backorder Management: Pro-actively manage backorders to ensure minimal disruption to shipping operations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 Years of Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of international shipments against all transport modes.
  • Incoterms and Associated Risks: Knowledge of incoterms and associated risks, as well as understanding of pre-shipment inspections.
  • Payment Terms: Familiarity with payment terms, including letter of credit.
  • Computer Literacy: Intermediate knowledge of Word and Excel, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Communication and Negotiation Skills: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders and external parties.
  • Full Driving License: A full driving license and access to a car, with a strong team player mentality.
