Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Central London Community Health Trust. As a specialist in speech and language therapy, you will work closely with children, parents, and school staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans to enhance communication skills.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess the needs of children with speech, language, and communication difficulties and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support and guidance.
  • Deliver high-quality speech and language therapy sessions to children in mainstream schools.
  • Conduct assessments and write reports to inform Education Health and Care Plans.
  • Train and support school staff to deliver speech and language interventions.

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Degree and Licence to Practise from the Royal College of Speech & Language Therapists.
    • Current registered membership of HCPC and RCSLT.
    • Experience of supporting children, families, and schools in line with the Children and Families Act 2014.
    • Collaborative work with parents and other professionals.
    • Experience of training others.
  • Desirable:
    • Interest in developing clinical specialism in education.
    • Training/experience of supporting students and more junior qualified therapists.
