Phlebotomy Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and flexible individual to join our Phlebotomy Service as a Phlebotomist. This role involves taking blood samples at various locations in Derbyshire, working independently to achieve departmental test turnaround standards, and responding to situations that could affect the quality and timeliness of test results.
The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to working, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. Previous experience in a care environment or customer service role is desirable.
This is a 7-day service, and the expectation is that once trained, you would work every other weekend either on the wards or at a clinic. You must be a car user and have business insurance as you will be required to drive throughout Derbyshire.

Key Responsibilities:
- Take blood samples at various locations in Derbyshire
- Work independently to achieve departmental test turnaround standards
- Respond to situations that could affect the quality and timeliness of test results
- Assist senior staff with audits and data collection
- Ensure the most cost-effective use of equipment and assist with stock control
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a care environment or customer service role
- Valid Driving Licence and vehicle available for work
- Flexible approach to working
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
