We are seeking a dedicated Support Care Assistant to join our team in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with complex needs. As a Support Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in enabling our service users to live as ordinary lives as possible.

About the Role

This is a part-time position, working varying shifts including evenings, sleep-ins, and waking nights. Additional hours may be available to cover annual leave, training, and sickness.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Participate in the day-to-day implementation of individual support plans and activities within a challenging environment.
  • Maintain effective communication and liaison with service users, families, and others while respecting appropriate confidentiality.
  • Support service users with meal preparation, laundry duties, cleaning, and social events.
  • Maintain accurate notes and records as required.
Personal Characteristics

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Diploma in Health and Social Care or willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience in supporting adults with challenging behavior, learning disabilities, and/or mental health issues.
  • The ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Confidence to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A passion for working with vulnerable adults.
  • A commitment to achieving high standards of safeguarding.

Estimated Salary Range

£22,000 - £25,000 per annum, depending on experience.
