Support Staff for Special Needs

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Support Staff for Special Needs at North Lakes Children's Services. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our pupils.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality support to pupils with special educational needs, enhancing their learning and independence, and collaborating with teaching staff to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum.
About the Role:
- Provide one-to-one, group, or classroom support to pupils with varying levels of special educational needs
- Accompany pupils on school visits and outings, promoting social skills and confidence
- Assist in developing and implementing individual programmes to support pupils' academic and personal growth
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to resolve issues and promote positive behaviour
- Keep accurate records of pupil progress and development
Requirements:
- Relevant experience in a similar environment or equivalent qualifications
- GCSE standard academic qualifications or NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) and proven experience in a similar role
- Basic first aid knowledge and ability to work independently
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work effectively within a team
What We Offer:
- A competitive salary of approximately £25,000 per annum
- Term-time only role, Monday - Friday, 9am - 3:30pm
