Job Overview:

As a key member of the IT Infrastructure team, you will provide expert guidance on IT security and contribute to the development of IT policies and processes across a multi-region infrastructure. This involves reviewing and improving information and cyber security aspects, as well as providing advice and guidance on security matters.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining and improving the Cyber Essentials Plus Security Standard, assisting with technical security management, and participating in internal governance activities. You will also propose changes to existing policies and procedures to ensure operating efficiency and regulatory compliance.

Additionally, you will coordinate the population of information asset inventories, identify security non-conformities, and design, enhance, and manage security-related procedures. You will work with various stakeholders to identify information asset owners, classify data and systems, and consult with IT and security staff to ensure security is factored into the evaluation and selection of hardware, applications, and software.

Core Requirements:
  • Education: A degree in a relevant field or commercial experience is preferred.
  • Experience: Professional-level ability with comprehensive experience in a security or risk management role.
  • Industry: Technology.

  • Qualifications: CISSP or CISMP.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours.
  • Salary: £50,000 plus benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and improve the Cyber Essentials Plus Security Standard.
  • Assist with technical security management.
  • Participate in internal governance activities.

  • Liaise with relevant teams to manage security, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

This role requires a strong understanding of enterprise information security, including knowledge of standards such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, 27002, Data Protection Act, and the General Data Protection Regulation. You will also have experience in formal document creation, including security policies, reports, and procedures, as well as carrying out risk reviews and technology audits.

Core Technical Experience:
  • Comprehensive experience in a security or risk management role.
  • Excellent understanding of enterprise information security.
  • Good working knowledge of standards including Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001, 27002, Data Protection Act, and the General Data Protection Regulation.
  • Experience in formal document creation, including security policies, reports, and procedures.
  • Experience in carrying out risk reviews, technology audits, or other similar work.
