Rewilding Projects Director

As an Ecological Leadership Specialist, you will play a key role in driving business growth by leading high-profile ecological and rewilding projects.

About the Role:
- Project Leadership: Lead and manage the coordination, resourcing, budgeting, and delivery of multiple ecological and rewilding projects.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical input and review for ecological quotations, reports, Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) assessments, Ecological Impact Assessments (EcIAs), and rewilding strategies.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality of client deliverables, including mitigation licence applications, ecological reports, management plans, and project bids.
- Team Mentorship: Mentor and support junior ecologists and interns, fostering their technical skills and ecological expertise.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Represent Ecosulis in meetings with clients, statutory bodies, and the public.
- Risk Management: Report on project risks and delivery progress to the Senior Leadership Team.
- Field Work: Undertake site surveys and provide ecological guidance across the company.
- Team Leadership: Lead weekly team meetings and ensure effective communication and progress tracking.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Degree in Ecology or a related field (a higher degree is a plus).
- Experience: Minimum of 8 years in ecology or rewilding projects.
- Professional Membership: Full membership of CIEEM; Chartered Environmentalist/Ecologist status is highly desirable.
