Salary
The estimated salary for this role is £28,000 - £32,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join our team at Polypipe. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for recording and processing financial information, as well as supporting the Production Accountant in maintaining accurate manufacturing and production costs.

Core Areas of Responsibility
* Complete all mandatory training
* Maintain PRN database and calculate monthly journal
* Support the rolling review of structures, routings, and BoM's to ensure accuracy of manufactured costs
* Responsible for undertaking analysis of production variances
* Responsible for ensuring inventory transactional accuracy in the GL
* Preparation and posting of monthly journals to ensure the correct financial position of the business is reported each month
* Provide support for the annual stock count process
* Build and maintain good relationships with key stakeholders within the business, providing regular analysis and investigation of production variances, working closely with QC, production, and planning
* Support the provision of regular monthly reports to budget holders
* Support the overhead calculations and reviewing absorption rates
* Support the collation of, and provision of information to external auditors
* Support Finance Team in completion of core tasks

Capabilities Required
* Previous finance experience would be beneficial
* Studying towards an accounting qualification (AAT/ACA/ACCA/CIMA), is desirable
* Ability to work to a good degree of accuracy with a keen eye for detail
* Personable with good communication skills, and the ability to work with people at all levels within the business
* Strong excel skills and proficient in all Microsoft applications
* Experience gained within a manufacturing environment would be beneficial
