About the Role

We are seeking a caring and experienced Childcare and Welfare Specialist to join our Polaris Community team.

In this role, you will work closely with young people who require additional support, providing guidance, and care in a residential setting.

As a Childcare and Welfare Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the well-being of our residents, including their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering high-quality childcare services to meet the needs of each resident.
  • Developing and implementing individualized care plans to promote the overall well-being of residents.
  • Maintaining accurate records of resident activities, progress, and any concerns.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to ensure a consistent and supportive environment.

Requirements:

  • QCF Level 3 in Children and Young People or equivalent qualification (funded by us).
  • Previous experience working with challenging young people (essential).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to engage, motivate, and encourage young people.
  • Computer literacy and ability to maintain accurate records.

Salary Details:

Up to £14,820.52 per annum (pro-rata for part-time positions) for unqualified candidates, up to £15,452.84 per annum (pro-rata for part-time positions) for qualified candidates.
