Accounts Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Accounts Assistant to join our team at Page Personnel. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, where you will play a key role in maintaining the company's accounts payable and receivable, and providing general financial support to the Accounting & Finance department.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage both accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  2. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial reports, providing valuable insights to the team.
  3. Liaise with clients and suppliers regarding payments, maintaining excellent communication skills.
  4. Chase customers for payment, using a professional and courteous approach.
  5. Ensure compliance with accounting regulations and company policies, upholding the highest standards of integrity.
  6. Contribute to financial team meetings and projects as required, sharing your knowledge and expertise.

Requirements:

  1. Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and regulations, with a strong emphasis on compliance.
  2. Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  3. Strong numerical and analytical skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
  4. Excellent organisational and time-management abilities, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  5. A professional attitude and the ability to work as part of a team, supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive working environment.
