Job Title: Private Client Solicitor

Gemini Recruitment is partnering with a leading national law firm to recruit an experienced Private Client Solicitor. Our client is a respected firm known for its excellence in client care and is looking for a skilled professional to join their Wills and Probate Law department.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Wills and Probate work, including estate administration, probate, and lasting powers of attorney. They will also provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members and the Head of Department.

Main Responsibilities
  • Manage a caseload of Wills and Probate cases, including estate administration, probate, and lasting powers of attorney
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members and the Head of Department
  • Assist with casework, including dealing with a range of Wills, Probate, and Lasting Powers of Attorney cases
  • Attend clients, take instructions, and prepare cases
  • Deal with correspondence and maintain accurate time costing procedures
  • Implement recommendations made by the supervisor following monthly file reviews
  • Ensure compliance with file management
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 1+ year's technical experience in Wills and Probate law
  • Must have a clean, valid Practicing Certificate at the time of applying
  • Committed team player with excellent client care skills and ability to deal with client matters in a sensitive manner
  • Previous proven supervisory experience and working to key performance indicators
  • Excellent networking and communication skills with the ability to successfully market the Company and generate new business
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to use own initiative and sound judgment
  • Working knowledge of Wills and Probate work and ability to service privately funded cases
  • Extensive experience in dealing with Wills and Probate related work
  • Experience in own advocacy is an advantage
  • Excellent IT Skills - familiar with Microsoft Office applications and document management skills
