About the Role:

The Head of Governance will be responsible for:

  • Leading the delivery of timely and value-adding company secretarial advice and support to our Boards, Committees, and senior stakeholders.
  • Assisting our Directors to comply with applicable corporate governance requirements, corporate law, and regulation.
  • Implementing and enforcing governance and best practice policies and procedures.
  • Leading and managing the Company Secretarial team, ensuring the successful management of all resources within the agreed budget.
  • Providing advice to the Board on all corporate governance and company secretarial matters.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Strong experience delivering high-quality corporate governance services, preferably within a FTSE100/250 organisation and ideally within the financial services industry/regulated environment.
  • Extensive experience delivering high-quality company secretarial and corporate governance support in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement experience at all levels, particularly with executive and non-executive Board Directors.
  • Proven minute writing experience and producing other governance documents to a high standard and accurately.
  • Proven experience in leading and developing a high-performing team.

What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary of circa £135,000, a bonus opportunity of 25% of annual salary, and a generous pension scheme. We also offer 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, and you can choose to buy or sell up to 5 days. Additionally, you will have access to up to 40% discount on Aviva products, and other retailer discounts.
