Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Care Manager to join our team at Additional Resources. As a Care Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the care and well-being of children in a newly built therapeutic home, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for up to three children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide therapeutic care and support to children with emotional and behavioural needs, ensuring their welfare and development.
  • Lead shifts, supervise staff, and implement placement plans while supporting the children's education.
  • Assist the Registered Manager with OFSTED inspections, audits, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee staff inductions, ongoing training, and manage on-call responsibilities as needed.
  • Ensure effective budget management, risk management, and maintain accurate care plans and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Ideal experience in a residential children's care setting.
  • Understanding of therapeutic care and trauma-informed approaches.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
  • Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management, or a willingness to work towards it.
