Job Title: Band 6 Senior Therapeutic Radiographer
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced Senior Therapeutic Radiographer to join our innovative and compassionate team at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Radiotherapy department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a workload of patients undergoing radiotherapy, ensuring the safe and competent use of radiation and the highest standard of patient care.
• Provide advice on the management of complex radiotherapy-related situations and work closely with the medical physics team and the wider Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) to ensure seamless care and communication.
• Be competent in image verification and take necessary action, including re-planning if required.
• Supervise and instruct new junior staff, identify training needs, and discuss these with more senior radiographers as necessary.
• Participate in the training and assessing of students from our partner higher education institution and liaise with the lecturer/practitioner.
• Report any patient complaints or non-compliance in accordance with departmental/Trust policy and take steps to keep abreast of advances in Radiotherapy.

Requirements:
• Hold a degree in Therapeutic Radiography or a Diploma of College of Radiographers and be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
• Have experience of working to a high standard with a wide variety of Radiotherapy techniques and equipment and knowledge/experience of modern Radiotherapy.
• Demonstrate a flexible approach and be willing to carry out and develop the role according to professional or service needs.
