Senior Optometrist

**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Optometrist to lead our Community Eye Services. This full-time position requires postgraduate training and experience to masters level in specialist areas, including paediatrics, and registration with the General Optical Council.

• Assess, diagnose, and manage patients referred to the optometry department.
• Deliver a highly complex optometric service and a comprehensive range of core services.
• Provide teaching and training of other healthcare professionals, junior doctors, and senior medical staff.

To be successful in this role, you will have strong leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00, with occasional Saturdays.

• Completion of preceptorship.
• Postgraduate training and experience to masters level in a range of specialist areas, to include paediatrics.
• Registration with the General Optical Council.
