Job Description

At Amazon UK Services Ltd., we seek an experienced and skilled Senior Workplace Health and Safety Manager to join our Customer Fulfilment team. This is a vital role that requires someone who can drive improvements in safety standards, manage health and wellbeing, and promote a culture of inclusivity across the site.

About the Role

As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining high safety standards, managing your team effectively, and collaborating closely with other teams to ensure seamless execution of our operational goals.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and lead your team to achieve excellent health and safety performance, as well as continuous process improvements.
  • Analyse data reports using internal tools to identify trends and root causes, providing actionable insights to inform leadership decisions.
  • Develop and implement health and safety projects and policies, ensuring compliance with local legislation and best practices.
  • Design and drive programmes aimed at enhancing the overall safety culture within Amazon, fostering a culture of open communication, transparency, and accountability.
A Day in the Life

This role involves working closely with various stakeholders, including colleagues, leadership, and external partners, to achieve shared objectives. You will have the opportunity to contribute directly to many aspects of our safety culture, from improving processes to implementing new initiatives.

Requirements
  • Degree-level education and additional qualifications such as NVQ5 or NEBOSH Diploma.
  • Relevant experience in managing a team, complying with local Health and Safety legislation, and communicating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English.
Estimated Salary Range

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and location.
