Key Responsibilities:- Provide second-line technical support for desktop and laptop-related incidents, service requests, and connectivity issues.
- Investigate and diagnose technical issues, and resolve them in a timely and efficient manner.
- Escalate unresolved issues to senior technical staff as needed.
- Log and track technical issues and service requests using our IT management system.
- Communicate with employees regarding technical issue progress and resolution.
- Conduct regular asset audits and maintain our asset management system.
- Deliver location-specific projects within agreed timelines.
- Maintain meeting rooms' IT equipment in good working order.
- Assist location administrators with IT orders and requests.
- Comply with SLB's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment policies and IT policies.
- Liaise with customers, other IT support groups, and third-party providers as needed.
- Studying towards or has already completed a Bachelor's degree in IT-related field.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of telecommunications and networking principles, including LAN and WAN technologies.
- Ability to acquire basic knowledge of oilfield rigs and Business Lines Operations.
- Ability to develop a strong understanding of standard Desktop Services setup.
- Ability to familiarize with current Desktop and Network challenges and opportunities.
- Skilled at evaluating options and recommending solutions within the framework of IT standards.
- Knowledge of conflict management styles or ability to manage and transform situations into resolutions.
- Ability to work collaboratively with various IT teams and providers, both internal and external.
