Job Title: Clinical Physiologist - Neurophysiology Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Physiologist to join our team at University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong background in neurophysiology and be able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To perform and report highly specialist and complex video-EEG telemetry studies.
  • To assist the Lead Clinical Physiologist in the formation of policies and procedures to ensure the service meets changing healthcare needs, trust policies, and nationally/internationally set guidelines.
  • To provide out of hours support and advice on technical issues to the nursing staff.
  • To ensure the safe and correct working of all telemetry equipment on the unit.
  • To communicate complex clinical and technical information to medical staff.
Person Specification:
  • BSc (Hons) in Clinical Physiology (Neurophysiology) or equivalent.
  • Post Graduate Degree or equivalent specialised modules/courses or significant equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrate ability to analyze data from complex investigations and give technical/factual judgments.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Able to use computerised databases and specialist software.
  • Able to analyze and interpret data from various sources.
  • Able to utilise ICT systems including Inphase and electronic healthcare record systems.
Communication:
  • Able to communicate effectively with patients and medical staff.
  • Able to present research and audit material.
Specific Requirements:
  • Flexibility to work a 7 day rota.
  • Able to manoeuvre patients safely according to trust policies.
  • Able to move portable equipment around the unit and to other sites within the hospital.
