Heavy Vehicle Technician

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our team as a Fleet Maintenance Specialist. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of vehicles to ensure they are in top condition and ready for service.
Main Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections and assessments of vehicles to identify areas requiring repair or maintenance
- Perform complex mechanical, electrical, and cosmetic repairs to industry standards
- Diagnose vehicle issues using standard engineering methods and electronic diagnostic equipment
- Carry out manufacturer scheduled servicing on a range of vehicle makes and models
- Manage repairs and maintenance on our systems to track vehicle status
- Collaborate with colleagues and external suppliers to ensure best practices are followed
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency
Requirements:
- Qualified vehicle technician or bodyshop fitter
- City and Guilds and/or Vehicle Manufacturer accreditation
- Accredited Technician Status – IMI
- Level 1+ (NVQ) Motor vehicle maintenance with at least 1 year practical experience
- Basic IT skills
- Proven experience in repairing vehicles across a wide range of types and categories
- Full UK driving licence
