About The Role

HomeServe UK is currently recruiting for Water Mains Technicians to undertake the maintenance and repair work of mains water pipes in private domestic properties.

  • Location: Hemel Hempstead or within a 20 minute drive of a HP postcode
  • Full Time: 40 hours a week – including some evening, weekend and bank holiday work
  • Salary: Between £39,629 - £43,000 (includes location allowance) depending upon experience and a £1500 signing on bonus

As a Water Mains Technician, you will attend customer properties, identify leaks on the water supply pipes, excavate ground to fix pipes, and make the ground good once complete.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of identifying leaks, repairing, and laying water mains is essential.
  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

As a Water Mains Technician, you will represent the HomeServe UK brand and undertake the maintenance and repair work of mains water pipes in private domestic properties. About You

What you'll have:

  • Previous experience of identifying leaks, repairing, and laying water mains.
  • Must hold a full UK driving license, with 6 or fewer penalty points.
  • Ideally WIAPS and CCNSG or NVQ Level 2 - but not essential.

To help you settle into your career with HomeServe UK, you will undertake our extensive training programme.

  • Week 1 will be Monday to Friday 09:00-17:00 in our award-winning training facility, covering all things HomeServe UK, Health and Safety, tools, and equipment.
  • Weeks 2-3 you will be buddied up with an experienced HomeServe Water Mains Technician.
  • Week 4 will be 3 days in Nottingham for additional training and support.
  • Where geographically appropriate, we will pay for your accommodation.
