Job Title: Heavy Plant Fitter (Cranes)

Location: Aylesbury with nationwide travelling

Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 + OT (£48,000 - £55,000 OTE)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 40 hours per week + Overtime (First 4 hours = 1.5x salary, 4+ hours = 2x salary + Sundays and BH's = 2x salary)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Plant Fitter to join our team on behalf of one of our fantastic clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy mobile cranes to ensure their reliable performance and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on heavy mobile cranes
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues in cranes
  • Adhere to service schedules and follow maintenance checklists
  • Replace faulty or worn-out parts with new ones
  • Conduct testing and calibration procedures on crane components
  • Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and manufacturer guidelines
Requirements
  • Substantial experience in maintaining and servicing heavy plant machinery
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical components
  • Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in heavy plant mechanics or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
