Job Title: Finance Business Partner

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at Bristol City Council. As a key member of our finance function, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality financial advice and commercial expertise to the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and deliver timely financial and management accounting services, including budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting.
  • Provide comprehensive and innovative support to senior managers and councillors on a range of propositions.
  • Act as an integral member of the finance management team, drawing on specialist expertise to identify, develop, and support opportunities and initiatives to transform the delivery of financial services and governance.
  • Contribute to strategic and operational developments, providing confident leadership and clear management to ensure the effective operational delivery of the service.

Requirements:

  • Full CCAB or Certified Member of the Institute of Risk Management (or equivalent qualification).
  • Sharp financial acumen to build robust commercial and economic models, define appropriate pricing strategies, and ensure budgets and forecasts are sound.
  • Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, the financial markets, funding requirements, and opportunities.
