Biomedical Scientist

**Become a key member of our pathology team** at Spire Healthcare, where you will be responsible for supporting our Microbiology Team in delivering high-quality diagnostic services. Based at our state-of-the-art laboratory in Centennial Park, you will play a crucial role in receiving and processing microbiology samples, utilizing manual and automated methodologies.

As a Laboratory Microbiologist, you will be part of a supportive and experienced team, working together to achieve our goal of delivering exceptional patient care. Your role will involve planning, analysing, and reporting pathology investigations, as well as developing and evaluating the movement of laboratory specimens, blood, and tissues.

**Key responsibilities**:

• Receipt and booking in of microbiology samples
• Sample preparation and analyser maintenance
• Processing samples for microbiology using manual and automated methodologies

**Requirements**:

• Degree in Biomedical Sciences and significant experience in microbiology
• Current HCPC registration
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualifying experience
