About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Laser Machinist to join our team at Gi Group. As a Laser Machinist, you will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming a laser machine, as well as ensuring the daily running and productivity of this machine.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Setting, operating, and programming a laser machine
  • Ensuring the daily running and productivity of the laser machine
  • Working on multiple machines on the shop floor, including the laser machine, press brake machine, and tube cutter
  • Working with materials such as sheet metal and mild steel
  • Making products like mezzanine floors, brackets, and plates

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Laser Machinist, Press Brake Machinist, or Tube Machinist
  • Confident lone working as well as within a team
  • Punch and press brake machining experience is advantageous

Package:

Up to £15 per hour dependent on experience, Monday - Friday 0700 - 1630, 45 hours per week, hours worked over 40 hours paid at a time & 1⁄2 guaranteed every week, £30 bonus weekly for working all contracted hours
