About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team at Thatcher Associates. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality mechanical designs for various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping, to meet client requirements.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and construction project managers to integrate mechanical systems into building designs.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather information and ensure accurate design implementation.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, drawings, and documentation for mechanical systems.
  • Work closely with the senior director to ensure efficient and accurate design delivery.
Requirements and Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in HVAC/Mechanical Design.
  • HNC/HND/BEng in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of the M&E industry and ability to work with complex technical drawings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and strong IT skills, especially Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
