Job Summary

Marlborough Highways is seeking a skilled Plant Mechanic to join our team. As a Plant Mechanic, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of vehicles and plant equipment. Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake scheduled and ad-hoc repair, servicing, and maintenance of heavy and light commercial vehicles and plant equipment.
  • Workshop-based, with time spent on-site carrying out routine maintenance and breakdowns.
  • Work within a small team to ensure repairs are dealt with promptly and recorded accurately within our in-house electronic system.
  • Perform routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA standards.
  • Prepare and present vehicles and trailers for MOT inspection.
  • Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment.
  • Attend breakdowns and rectify defects.
  • Ensure good housekeeping and H&S requirements are met.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork.
Requirements
  • Hold a qualification in heavy vehicle maintenance.
  • Experience in a heavy vehicle repair and maintenance environment.
  • Strong technical background and the ability to diagnose and repair faults effectively.
  • Previous working experience as a HGV Mechanic.
  • Full UK driving license essential.
  • HGV license preferred but not essential.
