Engineering Manager Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to join our team at Your Next Hire. As an Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in leading our engineering squad and driving the delivery of our award-winning SAAS projects in the tech for good sector.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Engineering Manager, you will be accountable for People & Delivery within assigned squad. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Coaching and leading Developers to achieve their full potential
  • Ensuring the delivery of software products that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability
  • Balancing product delivery with technical enhancements and process improvements, promoting both agility and predictability
  • Proactively championing and enforcing the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) process, establishing protocols for change management
Requirements:

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • A people-first approach with the capability to navigate complexities when necessary
  • An agile mindset and a commitment to continuous improvement
  • Previous experience as a Scrum Master would be beneficial but is not mandatory
  • The ability to influence, coach, and mentor at various organisational levels
  • A background in a technical role such as Software Engineer or IT Project Manager
