Leading Dermatology Care at Royal Berkshire

This opportunity is centered around delivering superior dermatology services at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, supported by an experienced Consultant Dermatologist.

The ideal candidate will be expected to collaborate with colleagues to enhance the current delivery of dermatology services and contribute to ongoing service development. This position demands proactive engagement in maintaining and improving the quality of care provided.

Main Objectives:

  1. Collaborate with the team to deliver outstanding dermatology services.
  2. Offer support during on-call shifts and address queries from hospital departments, ambulatory care teams, and emergency responders as requested.
  3. Regularly participate in clinical governance meetings and engage with academic discussions within the department.
  4. Remain actively involved in departmental meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
  5. Teach pre-clinical and clinical undergraduate medical students from Oxford University.
  6. Maintain a high level of professional development to meet Royal College of Physicians standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Expertise in general dermatology and patient care, backed by comprehensive training in dermatology.
  • Strong background in clinical governance and commitment to adhering to GMC Good Medical Practice guidelines.
  • Adept at designing and executing audits, with the ability to present findings effectively.

Compensation Package: The annual salary for this position ranges from £120,000 to £170,000.
