Job Title:

Electrical Metering Technician

About the Role:

Candidate must have proven knowledge of electrical metering, including experience with complex metering setups. The ideal candidate will be strong in health and safety practices in the electrical industry.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Conduct site surveys to identify necessary works for full smart functionality in Meter Rooms.
  • Carry out rectification works on-site, including relocating electric meters/customer equipment and installing/altering cable management assets.
  • Ensure all work meets required standards in close coordination with the Quality Control Engineer and Alt-HAN team.
Key Assignments:
  • Complete site surveys and rectification works to a high standard, prioritizing safety and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Liaise effectively with the Quality Control Engineer and Alt-HAN team to ensure work completion meets standards.
  • Provide clear technical sketches and photographs during site surveys to support digital drawings and highlight necessary rectification work.
  • Document and submit completed work through appropriate applications and platforms.
  • Report any dangerous occurrences or near misses encountered on-site according to IMServ and customer Health and Safety policies.
Requirements:
  • Proven knowledge of electrical metering, including experience with complex metering setups.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety practices in the electrical industry.
  • Competence in applications such as MS Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience in a field-based role with a proven track record of independent work and decision-making.
  • Full UK Driving License.
  • 18th Edition (BS7671) qualified - Training provided for candidates demonstrating required competency.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD software.
  • Will to regularly travel long distances and work away from home as required.
