Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Legal Counsel to join our team at Cutover. This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-level legal professional to contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for negotiating with clients, partners, and suppliers, developing our partner legal track, and collaborating with various departments to provide expert counsel. You will work on a broad array of technology, data, and intellectual property contracts, ensuring that they are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Negotiating with clients, partners, and suppliers to ensure that agreements are fair and beneficial to both parties.
  • Developing and implementing our partner legal track, including reselling, managed outsourcing, and referral arrangements.
  • Collaborating with various departments, including sales, marketing, and product development, to provide expert counsel and support.
  • Working on a broad array of technology, data, and intellectual property contracts, ensuring that they are compliant with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • A UK qualified lawyer with the right to work in the UK, or alternative qualifications from US, Canadian, Australian, New Zealand, or South African law schools.
  • At least 2-5 years of post-qualification experience in a legal role, preferably in a quickly growing technology business.
  • Experience working with financial services clients and navigating high-value contracts and lengthy deal cycles.
  • A love of technology and innovative ways of doing business, with a desire to partner with internal stakeholders to find solutions and close contracts.
  • A strong ability to communicate complex ideas and negotiate effectively with clients and partners.
