About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Subsea & Pipeline Engineer to join our Engineering & Consulting business in Aberdeen. As a key member of our Subsea and Pipeline Engineering team, you will provide technical expertise and support to our clients across various projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to concept development and feasibility studies for challenging subsea developments in the Oil & Gas sector.
  • Design and analyze CO2 and H2 onshore and offshore pipelines in the Low Carbon sector.
  • Support junior engineers or execute typical tasks in FEED studies, including pipeline mechanical design, routing, stress analysis, and producing datasheets and specifications.
  • Subsea cable routing, mechanical design, analysis, and assessment in the Offshore Wind and Oil & Gas sectors.
  • Build and maintain client relationships and contribute to successful proposals and tenders.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Lead integrity management, life extension, and decommissioning studies.
  • Use analytical or non-linear FE methods to solve complex subsea pipeline and subsea cable problems.
  • Develop onshore pipeline routing criteria and routing maps, considering environmental, safety, land rights, and legal factors.
  • Participate in innovation projects to streamline our toolkits for delivering assessments.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree (honours or equivalent) in Mechanical, Civil, Structural, Naval Architecture, or similar engineering discipline.
  • Chartered status.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience of concept / feasibility design studies for subsea developments; experience of FEED.
  • Experience of integrity management of subsea pipelines.
  • Experience of pipeline analysis to support design and operations; in-depth knowledge of finite element methods.
  • Experience in the design and analysis of subsea cables.
  • Experience in the design and assessment of CO2 and H2 onshore and offshore pipelines.
