Design and Technology Technician

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Design and Technology Technician to join our team in Halstead. As a Design and Technology Technician, you will play a crucial role in supporting the delivery of high-quality design and technology education.

About the Role:

As a Design and Technology Technician, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, maintaining, and organising equipment, materials, and resources for design and technology lessons.
  • Assisting teachers in the classroom, providing technical support and ensuring a safe learning environment.
  • Supporting students in the use of equipment and materials, promoting good practice and safety.
  • Contributing to the planning and development of design and technology projects and activities.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs of equipment and tools.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate for this role will have:

  • Relevant experience or qualifications in design and technology or a related field.
  • Strong practical and technical skills, with the ability to use and maintain a variety of tools and equipment.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage resources effectively.
  • An understanding of health and safety regulations related to a workshop environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
