About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Swisslog. As a key member of our site engineering team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our automated materials handling equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support our Resident Site Engineers in carrying out automated materials handling equipment servicing, adhering to quality standards.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical breakdown and planned preventative maintenance on a variety of automated machinery, including cranes, conveyors, vertical lifts, monorail systems, and deep freeze high bays.
  • Work in a cold environment (-18 degrees) and undertake repairs in accordance with manufacturers' recommendations and industry standard practices.
  • Comply with Health & Safety legislation at all times and ensure quality of output, adhering to the Quality processes and procedures set out by the company.
  • Work at heights and as part of a team of Engineers, represent the company in a professional manner, striving for excellence and best practice in all tasks undertaken.
Requirements
  • You will be an Engineering Site Technician with a good level of competence in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • An Apprentice-trained Mechanical/Electrical or Controls Engineer with a minimum Level 2 Qualification.
  • GCSEs Grade C or above in Maths, English, and Science.
  • Able to work at heights and communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Able to adapt to new and changing demands and situations, sharing knowledge with others proactively and demonstrating integrity.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Previous controls experience would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience of working with automation/in an automated warehouse.
  • Competent in Electrical/Mechanical servicing on a variety of machinery.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement.
  • Health and Safety (ISO desirable for this role).
