Job Title: Combat Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Combat Systems Engineer to join our team at BAE Systems. As a key member of the Dreadnought Alliance, you will be responsible for the design delegation of specified areas of the Combat Systems for Dreadnought, including requirement sign off and acceptance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reporting progress and highlighting any interface and/or delivery programmes that place the Dreadnought Programme at risk.
  • Design delegation for specified areas of the Combat Systems for Dreadnought, including requirement sign off and acceptance.
  • Review and development of Combat system sea trials programme.
  • Support the integration and assurance of the Combat Systems into the Dreadnought submarine.
  • Interacting with the Combat Systems Delivery Team to ensure the development of the CS meets its requirements.
  • Initiation and/or review of design change documentation.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or appropriate National Level 6 Qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Member of a relevant, recognised professional engineering institution.
  • Detailed domain knowledge of UK Submarines.
Desirable Skills:
  • Knowledge of submarine Combat systems is advantageous.
  • Chartered Engineer, or working towards, is advantageous.
  • Experience of Systems Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering.
