Job Summary:

Gold Group is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Highway Design Engineer to join their Professional Services team in Grimsby. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary design consultancy that includes Civil, Structures, Infrastructure, and Build sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support Project Managers in delivering major schemes.
  2. Manage and coordinate workloads to meet project deliverables within agreed timelines, quality standards, and financial objectives.
  3. Develop design briefs, prepare feasibility studies, and produce detailed designs, specifications, scheme reports, and contract data.
  4. Lead and participate in design reviews, ensuring quality and compliance with emerging legislation and engineering standards.

Requirements:
  1. HND/C qualified, with a preference for degree-level or equivalent experience.
  2. Proven track record in the Highways and Transportation industry.
  3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  4. In-depth knowledge of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB), Manual for Streets, and Local Authority procedures.
  5. Understanding of Health and Safety legislation, CDM Regulations 2015, and project delivery legislative aspects.
  6. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Key Signs, Key Lines, Auto Tracks, and 3D highway modelling software.
  7. Commercial awareness and experience in a multi-disciplinary design environment.
  8. Full driving license required.
