About Our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Nurse to join our Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at a leading private hospital in London. As a dedicated and experienced professional, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to children and their families.

Salary and Benefits

This rewarding opportunity comes with a competitive salary of up to £53k per annum, inclusive of an additional £3,000 for PICU qualification. You will also receive 25 days holiday each year (plus bank holidays), increasing with service, along with private healthcare insurance for treatment at leading hospitals, and a range of flexible health, protection, and lifestyle benefits.

Job Description

As a Senior Staff Nurse in our PICU, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Taking responsibility for the unit in the absence of the Sister/Charge nurse.
  • Developing, implementing, and evaluating holistic care plans for children in partnership with the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Building strong relationships with children and their families.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • NMC Child Registered Nurse (RN Child / RSCN) with immediate paediatric life support.
  • Post Graduate experience working in a PICU setting.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding issues.
  • Completion of a PICU Course that is equivalent to 60 credits.
