Wood Machinist

Job Summary:

The Recruitment Co. Careers is seeking an experienced Wood Machinist to join our client's team in Stockport. As a Wood Machinist, you will be responsible for using your knowledge and production equipment to transform raw timber materials into components for onward manufacture and assemble various items of architectural joinery.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all required Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, industry standards, and Quality Management Systems, such as ISO certifications.
• Follow agreed company standard operating procedures.
• Comply with all Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work when carrying out all tasks.
• Safely operate various, complex machinery, hand tools, and other tools and machinery.
• Work closely with the Production Team, including cross-functional teams, to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the Production process.
• Maintain workstations in line with agreed standards of cleanliness and safety.
• Take instruction and information from Production Team Leaders to complete products to the required quality standard.

Requirements:

• Higher level Joinery Certificate or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in a Wood Machinist role, with a strong understanding of production equipment and processes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production goals and demands.
