About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Schneider Electric. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful installation and commissioning of our building management control systems in the North East area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pre-Commissioning and Commissioning: Pre-commission control panels, field devices onto new and existing systems, and commission controllers, networks, and field devices into a complete control system.
  • System Integration: Integrate third-party systems onto existing systems, and configure and commission graphics.
  • Software Development: Write and commission controller software through to the Graphical User Interface.
  • Customer Handover: Handover and demonstrate the completed system to customers and consultants.
  • Installation Management: Design and manage installations with the support of Project Managers.
  • Relationship Building: Maintain and develop relationships with new and existing customers to become their trusted expert in all aspects of works.
  • Documentation: Document commissioning progress, site reports, and assist with O&M manuals.
Requirements
  • Electrical Engineering Background: Due to the nature of the role, a background in electrical engineering or a related subject is advantageous.
  • Experience and Skills: Experience in a similar role would be advantageous, however, on-the-job training will be provided. Knowledge of the principles of controls for HVAC, experience of working in a customer-focused environment, ability to work independently and as part of a team, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, and fluency in English (written and verbal) are essential.
  • Driving License: Hold a full driving license.
