About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Hardware Design Manager to lead our hardware engineering team in developing cutting-edge solutions for our clients in the automation industry.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of hardware engineers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise throughout the hardware design process.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, project managers, and clients, to define hardware requirements and specifications for automation projects.
  • Deliver projects on time, in budget, and to the agreed specifications through task and engineering process management relating to themselves and the members of their team.
  • Lead the drive in the department to improve Quality Systems and Standards, ensuring that the operation is consistent in its approach to the Quality System.
  • Coordinate resource within their team to maintain the required level of support for the project managers. Ensure resolutions of issues of work priority.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve common goals.
  • High level of ability to understand and produce control system design documents.
  • Experience in hardware design, including experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations for electronic hardware design, such as IPC, UL, and CE.
  • Qualified to HNC / HND / Degree level in a relevant discipline.
What We Offer:
  • Base salary of £55,000 - £65,000.
