Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

The Senior Financial Reporting Accountant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for management, adhering to strict deadlines throughout the financial year. This position is primarily responsible for the legal entity and consolidated statutory reporting of our clients' UK Regions entities located in the UK and Denmark.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Statutory Financial Statements: Prepare financial statements in compliance with appropriate reporting GAAP.
  • Legal Entity Documentation: Ensure all statutory legal entity documentation is completed and filed appropriately.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Review monthly/quarterly local and group reports & presentations, including consolidated and individual income statements, cash flow and balance sheets on a month and YTD basis, and analysis of performance vs forecasts and budgets.
  • Variance Monitoring: Monitor and track variances between group/segmental and legal entity reporting.
  • Accounting Movements: Review significant variances and accounting movements ensuring complete and accurate statutory results.
  • Tax Reconciliation: Reconcile and liaise with the tax department regarding disclosures.
  • Audit and Financial Reporting: Carry out audit and financial reporting in all jurisdictions.
  • Internal Control: Prepare and review analysis/reports for internal control requirements.
  • Liaison and Communication: Liaise with internal and external organisations as required.
  • Ad-Hoc Projects: Prepare complex analyses and/or reconciliations, as required, and develop, oversee, and manage ad-hoc projects as assigned.

To be considered for this role, you will hold a relevant degree and a professional accounting qualification (i.e. CIMA/ACCA/CA) and have experience with UK GAAP and IFRS.
