The Senior Children's Care Manager will provide leadership and support to staff while fostering a safe and nurturing environment for the children in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Supervise and manage the daily operations of the children's residential unit, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and best practices.
  2. Develop, implement, and review individual care plans tailored to the specific needs of each child.
  3. Lead and mentor a team of care staff, promoting professional development and effective teamwork.
  4. Conduct regular assessments of children's progress and wellbeing, making adjustments to care plans as necessary.
  5. Liaise with families, external agencies, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to care.
  6. Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and regulatory requirements.
  7. Ensure that the environment is safe, welcoming, and conducive to the emotional and physical development of children.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience in supervising staff within a nursing home, care home, or similar setting.
  2. Strong understanding of senior care practices, particularly in relation to children's needs in assisted living environments.
  3. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  4. Knowledge of developing and implementing effective care plans tailored to individual needs.
  5. Strong communication skills for liaising with families, staff, and external professionals.
  6. Ability to manage challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  7. A qualified nurse with relevant registration would be advantageous but not essential.
